Face Lift – Rhytidectomy
Face lift (face lifting or rhytidectomy) is the aesthetic surgical procedure that “turns time back”.
With face lifting we repair the facial tissues. We reposition the skin, subcutaneous tissue and superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS lift) in their normal position. Excess skin is removed, loosening is corrected and wrinkles are smoothened, without disrupting the particular facial features.
This classic face lift is almost always combined with neck lift to correct the neck loosening problem. Blepharoplasty completes the renewal of the face and can be done either together or later. In case of fat accumulation in the chin, liposuction is performed.
Face lifting can be combined with:
- lateral brow lift – to improve the position of the outside third of the eyebrows
- forehead lift – to improve the position of the whole eyebrow and to correct wrinkles between eyebrows and forehead
With face lift are not corrected:
- vertical perioral wrinkles of the “smoker”
- hypo/hyper-pigmentations of the skin
- photoaging of the skin
- skin lesions
The above problems are corrected by combining:
- dermabrasion
- fractional laser
- autologous PRP mesotherapy
- heterologous mesotherapy
- injectable hyaluronic acid
- botox
The majority of patients subjected to face lift are aged 50 to 65 years old. However, surgery can also be performed safely in the elderly.
The surgery is performed with local or general anesthesia. The incision is around the ear and back in the hair, which we do not cut.
Staying in the clinic usually lasts 1-2 days. After surgery, mild edema and bruising are absorbed during the first two weeks. Expectation is the numbness on the cheeks, which gradually subsides.
The return to work is done after about 1 week. The first results of surgery are visible early on, but are fully demonstrated in the first trimester.
Face lifting is an operation that, when performed by a specialized Plastic Surgeon, has excellent results.
This classical face lifting is the best choice for dealing with advanced loosening-ptosis of the facial tissues. The results are unique and last for 10 to 15 years, and then the person still looks younger than the actual age.
Lateral Brow Lift – Temporal Lift
Ptosis of the outside of the eyebrows occurs earlier than the central and inner parts, giving a tired and sad expression on the face. Its correction, also known as temporal lifting or lateral brow lift, is the aesthetic surgical procedure that corrects this drooping and improves the overall image in the upper third of the face.
The surgery is done with local or general anesthesia. It is done with incisions placed inside the hair, which we do not cut. Optical fiber special equipment and a combination of techniques are used to perform the required tissue repair and anchoring, as well as to remove excess skin.
No overnight stay at the clinic is necessary. The stitches are in the hair and are not visible. Return to work is possible after a few days.
Lateral eyebrow lift is an operation that:
- renews the upper third person’s face
- gives excellent results
- is combined with blepharoplasty for more complete renewal of the periocular area
- is often combined with face lift
Forehead Lift
Over time, deeper wrinkles appear on the forehead, combined with skin loosening and eyebrows drooping. To correct these aesthetic changes, the forehead lift procedure is performed.
The operation is done with local or general anesthesia. It is done with incisions placed inside the hair, which we do not cut. The choice of method (classical or endoscopic technique) is determined by the type and magnitude of the problem.
With forehead lift:
- the wrinkles of expression on the forehead and between the eyebrows are corrected
- lifting and support of the anatomical structures are made
- excess skin is excised
The stitches are in the hair and are not visible. Return to work is possible after a few days.
Forehead lift can be combined with blepharoplasty and/or face lift.
